Mr. Ramesh Kumar Sawarthia is the founder and Chairman of Krishna International. Stepped young into business in 1979, his first venture was in Nepal in import business. He shifted base to Hong Kong in 1983 to establish direct relationships with manufacturers, suppliers in Hong Kong & China. He widened the horizons of business to include trading and distribution of Mobile phones, IT peripherals, Consumer Electronics, electronic storage media, FMCG, Lifestyle products, Real Estate. His Vission was pivotal in making the Group truly transnational.

Mr. Deepak Kumar Sawarthia’s first responsibility was to manage Group’s Nepal operations. A pioneer by securing the first ever license for mobile phone importing into Nepal, his ability to register high growth and credibility among businesses in Nepal earned him the position of Managing Director early. Witnessing the strong growth potential in Middle East he was given the task of establishing and leading the Dubai Operations Hub which had its base since 2003 in Jebel Ali Free Zone. His strategic role helped the Krishna International set new industry benchmarks having registered exponential sales. A strong analyst in telecom devices market, he takes informed decisions with a local and a global perspective.

Has served in ICICI Bank as Head of Commercial Banking and Consultant for International Trade, Hong Kong. He has held senior positions in Canara Bank, India & Hong Kong and with several leading private companies in Hong Kong. Board Member of Krishna International as an independent Non-executive Director since April 2014.

Has held senior positions in various PSUs and MNCs and was pivotal in setting up “The Strategy Academy”. Served as a visiting faculty at several Premier B Schools including ISB, Hyderabad, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology & Beirut University.
